World Intellectual Property Day
On April 26 World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated all over the world.
WIPO’s (World Intellectual Property Organization) Member States decided in 2000 to designate an annual World Intellectual Property Day. They chose April 26, the date on which the Convention establishing WIPO originally entered into force in 1970. The day is celebrated with activities, events and campaigns which seek to increrase public understanding of IP.
In March the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) started a weblog on intellectual property related to business and innovation strategies. Different kind of stakeholders are actively involved such as policy makers, innovation advisers, business advisors, patent attorneys and personnel from PRV. They are all committed to write blog contributions as well as comments. On World Intellectual Property Day, April 26th, PRV will launch the weblog.
