Varying competences tackle overlapping technical fields

Patent applications are growing ever more complex as technical fields merge and overlap. Anticipating this development, PRV has launched a new technical unit that addresses the needs of the industry.
 
”We have gathered competences from several technical fields to form a new unit that will make the examination of these complex applications a lot more efficient. It creates clear advantages for our customers when our examiners can work with a higher degree of coordination and a wider technical perspective. This will directly benefit our customers”, says Anna Rapp, head of the new electromechanical unit. The unit will examine applications within the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering, electric power transmission and generation of renewable energy, such as solar and wind power.
