Requirements for submitted documents
At PRV we prefer you to submit certified copies for all trademark issues, unless the originals are required. The following is a list of the requirements regarding items submitted to PRV.
Application, original.
Power of attorney, original.
We will accept a copy of the power of attorney documentation provided it has been submitted in another case and that you refer to such case number in the new application. However, the original power of attorney documentation must also cover all of the cases concerned.
Documentation showing the legal transfer of a trademark from one legal/physical person to another shall be in the original or else a certified copy. Examples of such are: assignment agreements, documentation regarding mergers, documentation showing conversion to another corporate form, certificates regarding the devolution of a trademark and deeds of estate distribution.
Change of name of the same legal/physical person. It is acceptable to submit copies of the official documentation.
Article of association (for an association, foundation etc.). Either original or certified copies are acceptable.
Minutes from the Annual General Meeting or other documents showing the right to sign on behalf of the company. Either original or certified copies are acceptable.
Pledge agreement and licence document, either original or certified copies are acceptable.
Consent, either original or certified copies are acceptable.
Opposition, only original documents are acceptable.
Appeal, either original or certified copies are acceptable.
Certificate of domicile, only original documents are acceptable.
A document submitted by you to prove priority. Only original documents are acceptable.
A request for an extension, either original or certified copies are acceptable.
