We have produced four different examples which illustrate the costs for different companies and their patents. The aim is to give an overall picture of the different routes to a patent. You can find the detailed examples in the menu on the left. All companies and their products are fictitious.

	Sloo AB, a patent in Sweden.
	School Brain AB, a patent in three countries: Sweden, Germany and the UK.
	Electronics AB, a patent in seven countries: Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Germany, France, the UK and Poland.
	Warming AB, a patent in ten countries: Sweden, Finland, Estonia, the USA, China, Germany, Japan, France, the UK and Poland.

The patent applicants' costs in the examples have been estimated on the basis of conditions set in some typical cases. PRV would like point out that the total amounts are only approximate. Time and costs can vary considerably in different cases, even when the conditions appear to be the same. The patent application's scope and complexity, agent contributions and translation needs are factors that particularly affect the picture of costs.
