Original documents
In cases concerning patent applications or granted patents, the following documents must be filed in the original:
- the application or request
- a document filed to prove priority
- the opposition
- the appeal
- a general power of attorney that is not already deposited at PRV
Other documents can be filed as certified copies.
Powers of attorney
- must always be in the original
- must include details about which patent or patents the power of attorney covers
If a general power of attorney is deposited at PRV, its number must be stated or a copy of it filed.
