PRV has signed new pilot PPH agreements
In the course of the meeting of the governing Assemblies of WIPO (General Assemblies) last week the DG of PRV Susanne Ås Sivborg got the opportunity to sign new pilot PPH agreements with the KIPO (PPH, PCT-PPH) and JPO (PPH). PRV has earlier signed pilot agreements on PCT PPH with the JPO and the USPTO. The signing of PPH agreement with the JPO came into force on 1 October this year. As to the KIPO signed pilot agreements they come into force on January 1, 2014.
At a bilateral meeting with the USPTO the Directors agreed to sign an agreement for PPH in the autumn, with effect from 1 January 2014 in the case of PRV may not be able to adhere to the pilot on a plurilateral PPH scheduled for the same date. Plurilateral PPH enables authorities to join a joint pilot agreement with a common framework, which is primarily designed to facilitate for applicants to administrate the use of both PPH, PCT-PPH.
