At the end of June PRV is launching a new improved version of the Swedish Patent Database. Most of the notifications that have previously been published in the Swedish Patent Gazette, will now be searchable in the Swedish Patent Database.

Types of notification included are for example: issued patents, rejected oppositions, revoked patents, issued European patents, and Granted SPC´s. The search, “Type of notification” can be combined with the different fields of search in “Advanced search”, “Classification search” or “SPC Search”, for example, with inventor, applicant name or with class. It is also possible to search for notifications from a particular number of the Swedish Patent Gazette, or over a specific period of time year/number.

The notifications, that are searchable, were previously found in the web-based version of the Swedish Patent Gazette. In connection with the launch of the updated version of the Swedish Patent Database this service will be removed and all search functions moved to the Swedish Patent Database. The Swedish Patent Gazette will still be available every Tuesday in pdf/paper form. This modification now enables you to carry out a search in a single setting.

In addition to the notifications, other improvements have been made; an example is limitation of national patent. These limited patent specifications are now available in the Swedish Patent Database. Limited patent specifications for validated European patents, with the new document code T6, will be available from July 2011. T6 stands for “Limited patent specification”. During July, all T6 specifications, from earlier published validated European patent will be re-published; the re-published documents will be shown at the full post of the corresponding patents.
