Do you need to protect your trademark internationally? A Swedish trademark application only covers Sweden and if you want broader protection, there are two possible routes you can take. You can either apply for a Community trademark, which is valid within the EU, or you can apply for international registration, which gives protection in one or more countries signatory to the Madrid Protocol.
