About the speakers

Craig A McRobbie, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch, LLP
Craig McRobbie works directly with inventors to prepare patent applications in the areas of biotechnology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry and biology. Mr. McRobbie prosecutes patent applications including corresponding with clients and preparing replies to all USPTO correspondence. Mr. McRobbie handles cases before the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and prepares patentability, non-infringement, validity and freedom-to-operate opinions.
Mr. McRobbie has experience with PCT and foreign national stage prosecution of patents on behalf of clients and counsels clients on international patent portfolios. He has practiced in the intellectual property field since 1996, specializing in chemistry and biotechnology.

Paul C.Lewis, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch, LLP
Paul Lewis is a partner with Birch Stewart Kolasch & Birch. His intellectual property practice focuses on domestic and foreign patent prosecution, including preparing and filing of new patent applications and amendments, interviews with examiners, appeal briefs and oral hearings. Mr. Lewis also has experience in the preparation of infringement and validity opinions and with design patents.Mr. Lewis specializes in the areas of mechanical and electro-mechanical patents. His areas of expertise include telecommunications, data management systems, imaging technology, AC/DC converters, high voltage transformers, power electronics, medical devices, centrifugal separators and sports equipment.
Mr. Lewis was a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has practiced in the intellectual property field since 1990. He is a frequent lecturer for the firm seminar series and regularly conducts workshops for clients internationally, including the Swedish Patent Office and the Norwegian Patent Office. He represents large and small business and companies in the United States and abroad.
