We would like to draw your attention to the circulation of fraudulent emails purporting to come from PRV, sent in the name of Director General Anna Jardfelt.
From 1 April 2026 a new equivalent amount in PCT- search fee is established.
On 26 January, PRV will launch several new systems to enable more efficient processing and publication of patent, trademark and design matters. One major improvement is the introduction of a single search entry point to PRV’s databases, making it easier for users to find relevant information. This upgrade is part of a larger transition to modern systems based on the latest technology.
From 1 January 2026, the EPO smartcard will no longer work in PRV’s e-services. This means that you will no longer be able to use the smartcard to file applications in Web Filing for patents or to log in to My pages – Patent. Please note that the EPO card in Web filing of patent documents will stop working on 16 December 2025.
PRV has decided on new patent regulations that will come into effect from the turn of the year.

On December 11 2025, eOLF, the online filing service provided by the European Patent Office (EPO) for submitting patent documents, will be discontinued. The service has long been used by professional users such as patent attorneys and companies. When it is phased out, Online Filing SE will take over.
Today, PRV is launching a new system for submitting patent applications. Using the new system requires a small but important effort from your organization and marks a step forward in our journey toward a simpler and more streamlined application process.
As of today, PRV’s e-service for patents is called My Pages – Patents SE. The service makes it easy to follow your patent cases digitally – either as an individual authorized user or together with colleagues in a group at your company. The service works smoothly on both desktop and mobile devices.
