Business opportunities

In order for an intellectual property right to be worth something, other people must be interested in using what has been protected commercially.

What business opportunities exist?

Intellectual property rights are a toolbox that can be used to achieve business goals. Through patents, trademarks, design protection and copyright, the holder gains exclusive rights to control the use and create economic value.

These rights can be exploited through in-house production and sales, or through collaborations such as licensing, franchising and the sale of rights. In this way, intellectual property can serve both as protection and as a strategic tool for creating business opportunities and generating revenue.
