Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH)
The Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) is an international framework of agreements between patent authorities. Within this framework, a patent application whose claims have been determined to be patentable by one patent office is eligible to go through an accelerated prosecution in another patent office upon the applicant’s request.

The global pilot cooperation on PPH (GPPH)
Since 6 January 2014, PRV participates in the global pilot cooperation on PPH (GPPH) with some 20 other patent offices. The pilot concerns both national and international patent applications (PCT) and replaces the earlier bilateral agreements on PPH that PRV had with the American, Japanese and Korean Patent Offices.
Below you will find links to guidelines for the procedure and a request form.
For guidelines and forms for GPPH requests to other authorities, see PPH-portal. There you will also find information about what countries participate in the GPPH.

Bilateral PPH agreement with the Chinese Patent Office (CNIPA)
PRV has signed a pilot agreement on PPH with CNIPA which entered into force 1 July 2014. The agreement covers national and international applications (PCT). The PPH pilot agreement between CNIPA and PRV has been prolonged and will thus be valid also after 1 July 2016, for an unlimited period, if not terminated before by any of the Offices or due to the event that CNIPA join the GPPH (see above).
