How to pay
When you file a trademark application with us, you have to pay a filing fee. The filing fee consists of a basic fee and an additional fee for each additional class. We can only begin processing your application when the filing fee has been paid. The same applies for amendments to trademark protection.
Fees cover costs
The filing fee is non-refundable, even if your application is dismissed or rejected, as it covers the costs of examining your application. PRV is an authority essentially financed by fees.
Applications using the online service
If you apply for a trademark using our online service for trademark applications, you pay directly online when you complete your application. You can pay using a credit or debit card. The filing fee is lower than if you apply using a paper form.
Applications using paper forms
If you apply using a paper form, you can pay using our bankgiro account. We do not offer invoicing. The filing fee is higher than if you use our online service for trademark applications.
Payments using bankgiro
You can pay for your paper application using bankgiro 5052-6797.
It is important that you write on the pay-in slip that your payment refers to a trademark application. Also state what type of case your payment concerns (for example, renewal or assignment), the name of the applicant (not the agent, if any), address and current application number or registration number. If you do not have a number, you can give the wording of the trademark instead. Remember that the space for notes is often very limited if you are paying online.
International payments
PRV has changed bankaccount. For international customers this entails a new IBAN number as from 1st January 2018.
Payments are to be made to the following account number:
IBAN: SE6912000000012810111758
BIC/Swift: DABASESX
Bank address:
Danske Bank Sverige
Norrmalmstorg 1
Box 7523
103 92 Stockholm
The recipient's (PRV's) bank must be given as a Bank Identifier Code (BIC – formerly SWIFT). Our account number must be given as an International Bank Account Number (IBAN). If you use both the BIC and the IBAN, it should guarantee a correct transfer to our bank.
Deposit account
The use of a PRV deposit account is a convenient way of managing all your payments; such as filing fees, annual fees, renewal fees as well as fees for your Search services. Contact PRV and request that we draw the fee from your account.
