When you have registered your design, you should take care of your right in the best way to make its value grow. Such design registration is valid for a maximum of 25 years.
Renew your design and update information
Remember to renew your design registration. You can choose to renew the registration for five-year periods, or to apply for the entire 25-year period at once.
It is also important that you change your information if anything changes, such as a change of address or representative.

Monitor your design
When you have a design registration, it is your responsibility to monitor that nobody infringes on your right. You need to keep track of whether somebody else registers a design that has an appearance close to your design registration.
