Requirements for electronic signatures

PRV accept electronic verification which comply with the requirements for advanced and qualified certificates pursuant to the eIDAS regulation.

A general requirement for submission of applications before PRV is that of a hand-written signature. A hand-written signature is also the main type of verification for documents accompanying requests for recordal of  transfers, licenses and pledges.

For most types of applications and requests, our online services for e-filing are signed with an e-signature, rendering hand-written signatures superfluous. We strongly recommend our users to utilize our online services. Please note that secret/classified documents (such as patent applications) should never be submitted by means of e-mail.

PRV also accepts electronic means of verification and signatures which comply with the requirements for advanced and qualified certificates pursuant to the eIDAS regulation. In doubtful cases, PRV reserves the right to request verification by means of a hand-written signature.
