PRVs work in international capacity development

For many decades PRV together with Sida and the UN agency WIPO, World Intellectual Property Organization, have worked to train and develop government authorities and other organisations in developing countries on various aspects related to intellectual property rights to support innovation, trade, economic growth, sustainable development and preservation of cultural heritage.

An essential part has been projects aiming at aligning countries legislation, administration and enforcement of rights to international agreements in a way that is adapted to their specific conditions. Another important aspect has been to support domestic innovation, for instance, by developing IP-policies to support research.
