PRV focuses on training at international level in intellectual property – copyright, patent, trademark and design protection. This international cooperation includes the transfer of knowledge and experience between the participating countries. PRV offers international training programmes, provides access to international experts and hosts study visits from abroad.

Further, PRV runs international projects and coordinates development activities with the European Patent Organisation (EPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). These activities are funded by sources outside of PRV, such as The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), WIPO, EPO and the European Union (EU)
