You can file your application in different ways.
By post
You can send your application form by post to PRV, Box 5055, 102 42 Stockholm or hand it in to our reception at Valhallavägen 136 in Stockholm.

Swedish Patent Application
You can file Swedish patent applications quickly and easily using our online service Swedish Patent Application. No special software is needed, only electronic identification.

Online Filing (eOLF, PCT-SAFE)
You can file PCT, EP and SE applications, as well as EP validations, electronically. To do this, you need to install special software which is used together with either a smart card or a soft certificate.

Filing receipt
When we have received your application, we register it and send you a filing receipt. On the receipt you can see what application number your application has been given.
Certain details are public
From the date you file your application, certain details are public, for example, the application number, your name and address.
Filing fee
When you file your application, you have to pay a filing fee. It consists of a mandatory fee and an additional fee for each patent claim beyond the first ten.
